About

I've spent four decades producing, commissioning, leading and supporting creative work.

​

I've run creative organisations, worked with boards and founders, and started, merged and rescued companies.

​

I'm also an award-winning writer of plays and short stories.

I know the exhilaration of new ideas and the stress of making them real. I know the pressure and uncertainty of leadership, and I know how easily creative people can lose themselves in the wonderful chaos.

Experience and recognition​​​​​

I’ve founded and run creative companies, led Soho Create and the Edinburgh International Television Festival, and worked in commissioning and strategy at BBC2.

​

I won a BAFTA for the interactive drama Online Caroline and was awarded an MBE for services to the creative industries. As a writer, I won the 2023 Seán Ó Faoláin Short Story Prize and Write Now for my play Pool.

​

I’m an ILM Level 7 qualified executive coach and mentor, and I continue to work across the creative industries as a coach, adviser, Chair and NED.
